Academic Qualifications for all undergraduate programmes of BHU UET 2017-

 

Eligibility Criteria for B.A. (Hons.) in Arts and Social Sciences -

  • Candidates must be passed/appearing in 10+2 qualifying examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects

  • Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST) need not fulfill minimum marks requirement. However, they must be passed in 10+2 qualifying examination

  • Candidates, if belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Physically Handicapped (PH) are offered 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks

Eligibility Criteria for B.Com (Hons) programme-

  • Candidates need to be passed/appearing in qualifying examination of 10+2 standard with Commerce/Economics/Mathematics/Computer Science/Financial Market Management/Vocational courses (commerce stream) as one of the main subjects

  • Candidates need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects in the qualifying examination

  • Candidates belonging to OBC/PH need to score 45% marks in total, whereas, SC/ST Candidates need to pass the examination and there is no minimum marks required for them

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics -

  • Candidates passed/appearing in 10+2 examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

  • Candidates must have studied Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Statistics/ Geology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Geography and passed individually in these subjects

  • OBC/ Physically Handicapped category candidates will be provided 5% relaxation in marks

Eligibility for B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biology -

  • Candidates passed/appearing in 10+2 qualifying examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all subjects

  • The subjects of 10+2 standard must include Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Geology/ Geography as main subjects

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST need not fulfill minimum marks requirement and OBC/ PH candidates need to score minim 45% marks

Age Limit for all undergraduate programmes of BHU UET 2017 -

  • Candidates applying for BHU should not be older than 22 years as on July 1, 2017

  • Candidates from SC/ST/PH category will be provided five years relaxation in upper age limit

  • Whereas, for OBC category candidates will be offered three-year relaxation in upper age limit

Note: Banaras Hindu University reserves right to cancel admission to provisionally selected candidates of BHU UET, if at any stage of admission the candidates are found ineligible. Candidates are advised to provide eligibility documents as required.
