CCMN 2017 – National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela is conducting Centralised Counselling for M.Sc/ M.Sc (tech) admissions to NITs and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). The centralised counselling or CCMN 2017 will begin on May 4 along with the application process for M.Sc admissions into NITs. The CCMN body administers postgraduate admissions into Science discipline for as many as 19 institutes which include 15 NITs, two CFTIs and two IISERs. The M.Sc admissions into these technical institutions will be done through online counselling process followed by CCMN 2017. CCMN Eligibility Criteria 2017
Candidates interested in M.Sc admissions into the NITs and CFTIs can check here the eligibility criteria of CCMN 2017. NIT Agartala determines CCMN 2017 eligibility criteria on behalf of the other participating technical institutions. THE CCMN eligibility criteria are a defined set of conditions and regulations required for admissions into these technical institutions.
Candidate need to have appeared for JAM 2017.
Candidate is required to have a valid JAM score 2017.
Candidates belonging to General/ OBC category should have obtained at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PH category) in aggregate of the qualifying undergraduate degree examination.
Those who are appearing in the final year of their qualifying UG degree exam can also apply through CCMN 2017 but need to submit their qualifying degree exam certificate latest by September 29, 2016.

Candidates interested in applying for M.Sc programmes into NITs and CFTIs can fill application form of CCMN 2017 through the official link given here. CCMN 2017 application form will be available online from May 4. Candidates need to register for the CCMN 2017 online process by filling application details, providing choice of courses and institutions, uploading documents, and payment of fees before the last date of CCMN application submission. Candidates need to note that no application for CCMN 2017 can be submitted unless the application fee have been remitted through any of the payment modes including SB Collect or NEFT.

CCMN Counselling 2017
The CCMN Counselling will be administered by NIT Agartala on behalf of other technical institutions for offering admissions to the JAM qualifying candidates. The counselling of CCMN 2017 will be held inter-se-merit and choice of courses and institutions by the candidates.
Candidates participating in CCMN 2017 process need to fill choices for courses and institutes and lock them as well within a definite period of time.
Candidates can also withdraw their locked seats from CCMN 2017 process, if required.
Once the choice locking has been done by candidates, the CCMN organising body will issue first round of seat allotment list.
Candidates can either accept the offered seat through CCMN 2017 Round 1 allotment and proceed to next steps or reject the same and wait for National Spot Round seat allotment.
Candidates those who accept the offered seat through CCMN 2017 process ned to pay Rs. 7000 as Part Institute Fee (PIF) within the scheduled time and proceed to next round of seat allotment.
Candidates who have not been offered any seat in the first round of CCMN 2017 seat allotment need to wait for the round two allotment list.
Once the Round 1 seat allotment process of CCMN 2017 is over, the Round 2 seat allotment list will be announced based on which the candidates can either accept or reject the offered seats.
Those who accept the seats need to pay the Balance Institute Fee (BIF) through any of the payment modes for the allotted institute and generate Provisional Admission Letter (PAL) after the final upgradation of seats, if any.
Moreover, after the final upgradation of seats (vacant seats), there will be a National Spot Round (NSR) held, where those candidates who have not been allotted any seat in the previous rounds of CCMN 2017 will need to fill information, upload documents and pay the registration fees to generate Permanent Identifier (PID).
Candidates, who will be allotted seat in NSR, need to pay the BIF and report to the allotted institute to complete the admission formalities, else they will get a refund and the CCMN 2017 process ends.
