JNU Exam PatternJNU Exam Pattern 2017 - Jawaharlal Nehru University has mentioned exam pattern for postgraduate entrance exam. The university will be conducting entrance exam for various postgraduate programmes on May 16, May 17, May 18, and May 19, 2017. Candidates need to check exam pattern of JNU before appearing in the entrance exam. The test pattern of JNU mentions type of questions, marking scheme, subjects as covered in question paper of JNUEE. Candidates can check here exam pattern for each programme on this page below. 

JNU entrance exam 2017 will be conducted in offline mode for a duration of three hours. The question paper of each postgraduate programme will carry objective type as well as subjective type questions. Exam Pattern for Master in Arts programme -

  • The question paper will be based on History, Political Science, Economics and General Awareness.

  • The question paper is based on subjective type questions

  • The question paper for Master of Arts (In world Economy) will be based on micro-economics, macroeconomics, mathematics and statistics, International trade,  public economics and economic development. There will be objective type questions of 100 marks. In case of wrong attempts, negative marking will be done.

Exam Pattern of M.A in Language, Literature and Culture Studies-

 

The question paper will be based on Subjective type questions.

The questions will be asked from relevant language and topics on grammar, short essays, translations, and about society, culture and literature of language origin country.

Exam Pattern of Master of Science Programme

 

There will be objective type questions divided into two parts - Part I carrying Science and Mathematics questions based on 10+2 level and Part II carrying science subjects i.e. Physics, Geology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Mathematics at B.Sc level

Exam Pattern for Master of Computer Applications

  • The question paper will be based on 100 objective type questions carrying a total of 100 marks

  • The questions will be based on General Aptitude, Reasoning and Mathematics at  10+2/Graduate level, Probability and Statistics. 

  • There will questions weightage as 80 questions will be from Mathematics, Probability and Statistics and 20 question from General Aptitude and Reasoning.

Exam Pattern of M.Sc in Physics and Chemistry

  • There will be objective type questions based on broader areas of Physics, Physical Chemistry and Mathematics at B.Sc. (General) level for M.Sc in Physics

  • For M.Sc in Chemistry, the objective type questions will be based on Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry at Graduation level

Exam Pattern of M.Sc in CISM

  • There will be objective type questions divided in to two parts as under -

  • Part A will be carrying 20 MCQs based on Mathematics Aptitude i.e Mathematics/Statistics at the 10+2 level.

  • Part B will be carrying 25 questions based on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

  • Candidates need to attempt any one part of the question paper

  • For Part A, in case of each correct answer, one mark will be awarded and in case of each wrong attempt 0.25 marks will be deducted from total scored marks

  • For Part B, each question carries 2 marks and in case of each wrong attempt 0.50 marks will be deducted from total marks

Exam Pattern of M.A in Arts and Aesthetics

  • There will be subjective type questions based on various subjects of Arts and Aesthetics

  • The questions will be divided in to two parts - short answer type questions and essay based questions

Exam Pattern for M.A. in Sanskrit

  • There will be short answer type questions for a total of 100 marks

  • Candidates need to response either in English or Sanskrit Language

  • There is no negative marking in case of any wrong attempts

Exam Pattern for M.Sc in Molecular Medicine

 

The question paper will be divided into two parts - Part A objective type questions based on relevant subject and Part B based on multiple choice questions based on Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and relevant subject.
