DU Admission 2016: Sports trials and fitness tests begin from June 24

DU Admission 2016Delhi University has scheduled to begin fitness tests and sports trials from June 24, 2016. The university will be conducting the tests and trials in as many as 28 colleges till July 2, 2016. The varsity has also put some instructions for the DU applicants who are seeking admissions through sports quota. Careers360 brings you a complete coverage on this.

DU 2016 admissions through sports quota is offered for a total of 43 distinguished sports categories in around 51 colleges. The university has identified a number of colleges including IP College for Women, LSR College for Women, Sri Venkateswara College, Hansraj College, Sri Aurbindo College, Shri Ram College of Comerce (SRCC), Miranda House and Ramjas College as venues for conducting the sports trials and fitness tests. As per the university officials, Delhi University has identified the colleges based on the location, infrastructure and availability of required sports equipment.

DU 2016 Fitness Test & Sports Trials Instructions

  1. The university has also notified that applicant needs to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time of fitness tests and sports trials.

  2. In any case, no candidate will be entertained who reaches late at the allotted venue for the fitness tests / sports trials.

  3. Candidates should reach the venue with proper playing kits, else will not be allowed to participate in the tests.

  4. Parents or guardians accompanying DU 2016 applicants will not be allowed in the premises of Sports Trials / Fitness Tests.

  5. Candidates appearing for a number of games/sports (refer below table), need to bring their own sports equipment for the trials–
